Standard V
Engage in professional growth and leadership

Reflection
This is probably the standard that I engage in the most. In my role at Apple, I have the opportunity to work with school leaders in a variety of ways. Many of these interactions are focused on how to integrate technology within school districts. I also have an opportunity to participate in conferences at a local, regional, and national level. So far this year I have presented at KySTE (a statewide technology leadership conference in KY), TCEA (Texas Computer Educators Association conference), and MASS (Mississippi Association of School Superintendents). I am able to provide leadership and experience to districts based on my nationwide interactions with school districts. Simply click on any of the pictures above to view an artifact related to this standard.
The first artifact that I am submitting is a video reflection designed for viewing by leaders looking to revamp curriculum structures and leverage new technologies. This video will be useful to leaders looking at refreshing their knowledge of Instructional System Design and Instructional Design
The second artifact that I am submitting is a technology plan that I created as a class assignment. This technology plan demonstrates leadership by providing a plan for a rural school district to implement a 1:1 initiative.
The third and final artifact that I will be submitting for this standard and Blogfolio is a paper that I wrote for revalidation of IT636. This paper discusses how a teacher can leverage modern technologies to manage an Apple Classroom.

Future Learning Goals
I hope to be able to use the knowledge that I gained from the IT degree to assist Developmental Executives and Account Executives at Apple Inc. as they have discussions with Superintendents and Curriculum coordinators looking at integrating technology into their school districts. I plan to explore this NET-S standard more at ISTE with various sessions in 2020.
